The recent years Apple has taken the world with storm with iOS for iPhones and iPads. Apple not only introduced the smartphone as we know it today and tablets; they also invented the concept of “Apps”, and changed how people use software and games. They created a re-newed interest in making unique and slick app designs with icons as a important part of the marketing.

The app icon is one of the primary design elements in the iOS platform and a large part of the success. Their characteristic design with rounded corners, and great illustrations demands both skills and a great imagination to imitate.
